Does anyone know if WCML EPS limits will be changed to accommodate the Trans Penine 125mph units entering service next year? Currently non-tilt stock is limited to 110mph, but there are clearly stretches of track limited to 110mph that are significantly straight enough to be raised to 125mph for non-tilt trains. Otherwise the 125mph capabilities of these trains will be wasted.

On the other hand the fastest non-tilt timings between Carlisle and Glasgow are only 3 minutes less than fastest Pendolino timings !!

Is that the 221s (which have tilt enabled on VTWC services)?

No, it's TPE's 350s which are timed at 100mph even though they can do 110 (and so presumably will the new 397s when they start).
I don't think there are any 221 differentials from the 390 speed north of ?Stafford (could be wrong!).
The Euston-Birmingham-Scotland trains are worked interchangeably by 390s and 221s.

TPE 350s are now timed at 110mph and there are several stretches North of Stafford (particularly north of Lancaster) with 221/390 differential EPS speeds. There is talk of raising the conventional speed above 110mph where possible to take advantage of the 125mph capability of the class 397 units.

Yes. A Speed board may be 125EPS/110. If TASS is working, then a 390/221 could run at 125mph rather than 110mph.

Interestingly, Voyagers and 390s have different tilt abilities, so sometimes there's two EPS speeds.

There is but it's to a place that Voyagers don't go to! Weaver Jn. 95mph as opposed to 100mph for a pendo. (To/from Runcorn)
