Don’t worry too much about it. I had to order mine direct rather than through the onboarding.

I wouldn’t worry about your uniform, most of the guys on my on boarding induction didn’t get there uniform for weeks after they started.
Just wear smart clothing to the academy in Stratford.

Weeks?!

I waited 9 months for mine! I was pretty Much qualified when I received it all!

To be fair the newbies coming through recently are getting theirs quick

I've a question on the process if anyone could help. I have an assessment day coming up for GA. Came randomly after hearing nothing since May. I am mildly colour blind. I did tick the box saying so on the application. Everywhere I read people say the for a driver your colour vision has to be perfect. Is this true? I mean if it is I should have got waved bye bye when I ticked the box.

Do you have the colour blind test on the assessment day or at the medical? TIA

Hello, when's your assessment day?

Your eyesight will undergo examination in the medical

End of the month.

Going to be frustrating to get through and fail later on at the medical. Be good if once you said you had some colour blind issues they'd invite you in to be screened before they spend money on doing your testing. Plus someone else could have had the spot. Oh well. Fingers crossed.

Best try not to think about that buddy, just treat it as another step in the process. Just focus on assesments for now.

I also have my assessment at the end of the month. Any advice on the day is appreciated i.e running order of the tests, areas to focus on.

Also, Is there an element of maths tested on the day? I’ve heard conflicting stories.
Thanks.

Looks like they might be running assessments Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at least. Seems strange there is not more activity on this thread, unless not many invites went out.

With courses starting in Jan and Feb, I wonder how many more they have planned?

Does anyone know how many trainee positions they have left to fill?

Not sure buddy, but I seem to remember the original advert was for 20 trainees.

Hope your preperation for the assessment day is going well. You travelling down today or in the morning?

Thanks. Prep is going as well as it can with a 3 year old running around.

I'm travelling down tomorrow. Should be there for 8ish providing all goes smooth with the trains. I did contemplate staying in the travelodge just down the road from the venue however left it quite late to book.

Are you on tomorrow's assessment?
