Solo 53505 was repainted green many months ago but had a very serious failure which kept it out of service. It has only recently been back in use.

Yeah, I think I saw something on FB which said that there was a problem with the engine and finding a replacement was really difficult, oh well, at least it's on the road now

Looking at the link there are several open top buses for sale at Winkleigh and all appear to be examples used in the Jurassic Mule operation.

Wonder if they are not coming back next year?

All 3 were hired from Dan for Mule service from his “dealer” stock. Dan had been a regular Mule driver, so was more than happy to hire the vehicles for the summer. We were aware they were for sale, and a slim possibility they may be purchased during our season. Dan even arranged to meet and show one of them whilst in Mule service to a prospective buyer who then didn’t show up!
Regarding the Mule, it’s uncertain what will happen next year. Discussions are ongoing, I’ve had to step away due to my new employment (was it anyone here taking my photo in St Newlyn East this morning?) (but still ok to share posts and news).

Thanks for explaining the situation. Wish you well in your new job.

Not previously noted is that Scania K114EB coaches 23317 and 23325 although still taxed are reported out of MOT by the DVLA. Is anyone in a position to confirm they are no longer is use please?

Just an update to say 23325 has now received an MOT taking it through to September 2019.

The 227 service from Truro College to St Mawes is usually BMC worked, after previously being Solar operated. Although BMCs are on a few college services so could be a different route

222A was a BMC this evening, there was 1 other BMC at the college although I didn’t see where that was going.

Some noteworthy observations:-

Last night:- E200MMC 44962 working the 2055 Newquay to Truro service 87.

This morning:-

Marshall Dart 41490 on the 0850 Camborne to Penzance service 39A.
Vamooz Trident on service 18C.
Atlantic Coaster Trident 33235 on the 0842 St Ives to Truro T2 service.
Green E400MMC 33307 on the 0850 Truro to St Ives T2 service.

The latter possibly a first? I have not seen a green one on "Tinner" duties before.

A blue MMC was on an A1 working this afternoon - it passed a Trident on the same route in the opposite direction. I think it's the first time I've seen a Uni livery on the A1.

I went on one around this time last year.

Volvo B7TL 30874 at Camborne today, it has lost it's engine and other bits presumably to keep something else on the road.

Dart's 43861, 43856 and 43864 also here whilst 43854, 43860, 43863, 43862 & 43869 are reportedly at Penzance.

1501 M6 from Mousehole was a non runner this afternoon and the next one left people behind at the harbour. Lots of complaints from regulars about daily breakdowns. I really do hope some of the new buses due are replacement Solo SRs.

Seen reported that the 22 and the 50/51 may receive them (as the e200mmc were too large)
i know they were looking at them for the Portloe service as the MMC 200 is a bit to wide for there ,dont quote me but as far as i understand the 3 workings u mention all inter work .
