I visited the Charwelton to Woodford area for a look around. My first walk around took me to the Woodford Station site and to the three bridges to the south and as far as I could get towards South Junction.

My second visit included Charwelton. The work going on between Charwelton station site and Catesby tunnel was very interesting, which was added to by being invited to visit the site by one of the staff.
Next I walked south wards as far as I could get towards Woodford Halse, but had to return to Charwelton from around the Water Troughs area due to blockage and then bus into Woodford where I checked out the cuttings between West and South Junction.

I have memories of Woodford Halse from firing trains too and from Woodford via Oxford and Banbury North Junction in the closing years of the route.

I had an explore in the area when I first moved to Northampton around 1990. I wish I'd taken more photos.
