This livery is terrible.

Too much black, the bit between the top of the windows and bottom of the roof should be white, this would look really nice like that.

It's nice to see a livery that's not predominantly white- no matter how good your cleaning regime, a white train will always look grubby.

Counter balancing that... 378s are washed regularly so seldomly look grubby TBF

Well the Overground isn’t the dirtiest of operations (low speeds, urban traffic...)

On the subject of white trains, just take a ride past Cambridge carriage sidings & compare the GN 387s with the GA 379s it's so noticeable how little care is taken by GTR compared to the gleaming Abellio units.

Loving the small yellow warning panel on the refurbed 378 fronts too

The majority of the 377s south of the river are in good condition externally, however.

Do we know how many repainted/refreshed 378s are in service and is there a timeline for completion of the full fleet?

Just passed a refurbished train at Clapham junction. I will admit it looks far better in person and im probably one of the only people on this forum to not actually mind the yellow front.

According to twitter 135 is in service now and according to London Overground Twitter account, it is a brand new train. SMH!

I have to say, I really like the livery. Reminds me of some far eastern metro train for some reason.

In service this morning, managed to catch it purely by chance.

I think I've changed my mind!

The sides are quite nice, and the black up to the roof works way better than it looks in the photos I've seen.

Still not wholly convinced about the front end. Think I can get used to it though. It would look far better if they sorted the lights so the yellow section could go orange.

Reminds me a little of the Class 442 or even a 333 - almost a rounded look.

I think the thing I don't like is where the top (left in this photo) of the headlight isnt at the right angle so you get that small bit of yellow. Would have been better to use a small amount of black to extend the headlight area in that slither.

That and the fact the blacks don't actually line up!

Certainly different to current liveries.

Yeah the black areas not lining up is irritating, but presumably a result of the U-turn on not needing a yellow panel. If the black area below the windscreen lined up with the sides, I don't imagine what's left would be considered sufficient.

I think you mean the line is applied at the wrong angle. The headlight is innocent, he was there first!

Oh dear, has the interior changed at all? That won't wash if it's still the same as before!
New mockette to match the 710s i believe? It's got some green in it.
Rode a refurbished unit today. Interior changes immediately visible were:
- seat moquette - like the original but with the grey replaced by green
- grab handles - refinished in a darker, nigh on red, orange colour
- revised route maps over door

It also felt lighter and brighter - unclear if lights just cleaned or there have been changes.

Genuinely felt like a new train (not as the 378s were that bad before).

Interestingly l couldn't see a unit number on either of the cab fronts but it was, in very large letters, on the roof!
