Yeh Sunday’s and BH are usually over time , not sure how nights work tho
Sundays and nights are inside the working week so there is no extra for doing them.
You can ask not to work a bank holiday but it goes on a count of how many u have done. When u start u get an average count number so u don’t start on 0. If u work the bank holiday u get the choice of a day in lieu and I think it’s 20-25% extra pay of the hours rostered or a bank holiday payment. Not sure how much that is though as normally everyone takes the lieu day.

If the current pay deal that is on offer gets voted in I believe the shunt drivers should be on around 30,000 from April. With minimum 3% rise each year for the next 3 years after that

That's really good. So to clarify from your other post there's no enhancement for working sundays/nights. Also do staff get paid additional for London allowance?

No there is no extra for London allowance in the pay. Or for nights / Sundays. The Shunter drivers based at Shoeburyness get paid the same money as the ones based at East Ham depot.
The only extra pay you would get was if you work overtime or bank holidays.

Anyone on this thread attend the assessment in Southend last Thursday.
I was there and am still waiting to hear how I got on.
Getting anxious now.

It was stage 1. Sat it on the 15th November. Only found out yesterday that I passed. Next stage is in Watford on the 22nd January.
Good luck!

Hey, did you receive an email saying whether you passed before you received an email saying you’d progressed to the next stage? My partner applied for the same role and sat it in December and just got an email saying he passed the National Standard and that his application is still being processed to see if he will progress to the next stage. And we’re just not sure what to make of this- was sort of just expecting an email saying he was through to the next stage or not :s.

I was so sure I fluffed the tones test so genuinely really happy either way. Not holding out for an enhanced but let’s see.
