Hi,

Just seen pictures of a derailment this morning. Not sure where it was.

Is it severe? Fairly high speeds past the yard, I don't sign it but think it's around 50.

Location
Somewhere
The schedule above suggests it was going in/in/coming out the yard.

Glad no-one's hurt. At least they got a lovely view of the estuary & mountains whilst waiting.

WCRC 33025 + Mk1s + 47826 are operating 1Z86 Crewe - West Kirby then 1Z87 from West Kirby to Southport and 1Z88 Southport to Crewe. Train arrived at Dee Marsh, 5 mins late at 11:20. The train has had no report since and is rumoured to have been derailed. Does anybody have any furthur information on 1Z86-1Z87-1Z88. Thank you for any help! :)

Operated by the Branch Line Society. (See Fixtures Page on BLS website for info)

Is it still top and tail? Could split the train and reform (if signalling allows) on the main line and leave the detailed coach in situ.

No VSTP planned movements to rescue the train. Have they detrained the stock?

What I've heard from what people on the charter have been told is that the plan is to attempt to rerail the train and detrain at the next station, failing that there'll be an evacuation.

Thanks for the Information, would the station be Neston?

I've heard Shotton but I don't know the area so I have no idea I'm afraid.
I should also add I'm not on the charter, this is what I'm hearing from friends on it.

What will the train do after it has been de-trained
Most likely straight back to the depot for examination-I've heard rumours as to what may have caused it but it's not up to me to spread them.

So rerail a coach that could have a defective or damaged wheel set, and then run a train over a piece of track which could be defective or damaged... with passengers onboard? Well I guess that must be ok in today's health and safety obsessed world.

Hence my disclaimer that I might be talking bollocks.
Alternatively, chop the potentially damaged carriage off.
