Forum staffing

A quick update regarding the Forum Staff to let you all know that as of today IanXC has resigned from his position as a Moderator. He will continue to be on the Forum and hopes to still regularly feature at Forum Meals and Meets.

IanXC has been a member of Forum Staff since the end of 2012 and has played a key role in taking the Forum from strength to strength. However he has now decided stand down to enable him to pursue other opportunities.

I'm sure you'll want to join us all in thanking him for his hard work over the years and wishing him well in his future ventures.

The Forum Staff are currently looking at our options for the structure of our Staff Team going forward with a view to implementing changes towards the start of the New Year. We have recently carried out a review of the forum rules and will be shortly sending members a survey to give you an opportunity to provide feedback; members might wish to attend one of our upcoming forum Meets or Meals if they wish to offer feedback to members of the Staff Team who are in attendance but we are not seeking expressions of interest at this time.

He has been very good as a moderator and always had "the human touch" in dealing with matters.

being a moderator is a thankless task and the pay [-5-12hrs a day] can be well worth getting back to reclaim a life off some sort
moderating a forum needs diplomacy tact understanding with a firm hand he obviously got the balance right unless the the mods have very quickly remove the several abusive posts already posted
well done that man and enjoy your new life play balance hopefully through choice rather than forced by circumstances

I am indebted to @IanXC for pointing out to me (when I met him at my first ever forum meet) that the station toilets at St Pancras International were free to use!
