Is the Benelux pass valid on the NS International Amsterdam Central/Berlin diagrams between Amsterdam and Apeldoorn? Obviously I know I can't use it for Germany. But to any NS stations?
Just in case my last few 1700s drop onto these.
Thanks for any info received.

The IC Amsterdam - Berlin doubles as a regular intercity in the Netherlands so you should have no problems with that.

There's a dedicated pool of Class 1700 locomotives which work the IC Berlin between Amsterdam and Bad Bentheim. The remainder of the 1700 fleet hauls/pushes double deck coaches (DD-AR, DDM1) or is in long term storage. 1772, 1775 and 1781 have been sold.

The following locos work IC Berlin services: 1739, 1744, 1745, 1746, 1750, 1752, 1761, 1765.

You can find an entire list on Somda.nl, which is up to date until May 31st 2018. There haven't been much changes to that list lately, as NS are awaiting the introduction of the new Sprinter fleet (CAF Civity).

Key:
terzijde = in storage
in dienst = in use
gesloopt = cut up
solitair / NSI = works IC Berlin services
DDM1 / DDAR = works with double deck coaches

Many, many thanks AlexNL. That is a great help to me.

As such the former pass named as such does not exist since many years now.
What you likely mean is InterRail 1-country, for these 3 combined countries (not available to peope living in then, like me).
All such tickets are valid in all REAL trains by whatever company (=NOT urban metro's, like Amsterdam/Rotterdam/Brussel), except Thalys. Thus valid on ICE and IC-Berlin (with currently long-time cancellations for AMSterdam-AMErsfoort,due to track const. works) and also IC-Direct (or defect) without any supplmt. They should have a cover with a barcode to open gates here in NL if needed (use gates with glassed round sensors, not the Oyster-type grey ones).
Note as many Brits are completely unfamilair with it: it is valid till Border-points, which are imaginary tariff-points without station. You can use it to go a short trip into DE f.e.- find at NS-machines ''other-foreign'', then choose DE, destination, then select ''NS gratis=free) and you only pay for the German sector. You can even have 15% RailPlus discount, if your British Railcard has the symbol for that (highly unlikely nowadays).

Yes, the IR single country pass for NL, BE and LU is valid up to the Dutch border on the IC train to Berlin. No reservation needed, no formality. Some of the carriages have even been refurbished into the new IC interiors. So the only trains the pass is not valid on are Thalys and Eurostar: but you can get a quota-controlled supplement for these. Thalys for journeys to BE (no intra NL journeys permitted) and ES for any journey.
However, NB, no British Railcard includes 'RailPlus' any more as the UK dropped out of the scheme altogether some years ago..

There is a supplement needed for the ICE between Amsterdam - Utrecht - Arnhem and v.v.. The cost is 2,40 euro one way. The Dutch IC is 9 minutes slower than the ICE between Adam and Arnhem.

I rather think that the supplement is only payable if you are using an NS ticket. I've traveled that route by ICE using Interrail many times and have never been asked to pay a supplement.

Edit: To be clear; I'm referring to travelling within the Netherlands on Interrail, not cross border.

Correct!

(Dutch) Als u grensoverschrijdend reist met ICE International dan is de toeslag inbegrepen in uw vervoerbewijs.

Translation: If you travel across the border with the ICE than the supplement is included in your ticket.

The wallet that has my Inter Rail pass also has space to log every journey I do. It seems to be now a requirement for validity for each journey undertaken. At the end of my trip I’m to submit all this info back to them via freepost (for a gift) as data gathering.
I might need more room considering it’s a haulage bashing trip. :D

Yes, you are required to log each journey as you take it. It isn't often checked but sometimes is so you need to do it. You can download continuation sheets here.

Which is all a total load of bureaucratic nonsense. For the officious grippers out there, maybe consider this: as soon as I get home I'll just chuck the ticket in the bin.

Indeed, I don't quite agree to it all but I have come across "officious grippers" in Netherlands before and I'd rather avoid a penalty.
Thanks for the link to continuation sheets 43096.

Indeed you end up with pages and pages of moves. I had one Belgian gripper moan at me for this, the Dutch largely just found it funny and asked what I'd been up to. Dutch rail staff up there with some of the best I've encountered.

Worst I had was down in Hungary where conductors would constantly try and rip the thing apart (the ticket from its passholder) to the point where I ended up getting pretty annoyed at a few of them and snatching the thing back before they actually tore it apart.

Yes, and if it's valid in the Netherlands it now also has a barcode to operate the ticket gates now installed at many Dutch stations as part of their "OV-Chipkaart" smartcard ticketing system.

Yes indeed. It has all changed since my last 4 day bash out there around 4 years ago.
