Question in the title. When the station was refurbished the new signage which was put up was in Network Rail/ex-Railtrack colours.

The station is managed by Northern.

Didn't it and Manchester Oxford Road move to NR management back in April 2016 with the new franchise?

(I believe Kenilworth uses standard NR brand signage and it certainly isn't managed by them!)

They were supposed to but it all went a bit quiet.

I wish NR would take over as Northern keep putting contradictory crowd control signage everywhere.

Indeed, the signage at the moment is a joke. No entry signs and arrows at the top directing people to staircases which people at the bottom think is the correct one to come up

I complained on SSC once, and they removed the counterintuituve signing. That was a few months ago, fast forward to last month they put up some different, equally counterintuitive ones ones, then for the Christmas crowd control nonsense they put even more up identical to the first incorrect set.
If they're going to plaster the bridge/gas chamber in signage, they need to put signs at the bottom of the stairs too.

Oh, and remove the old ones. They'd do better to put crowd control barriers on the bridge, if anything. Victoria is always a joke at Christmas, but with Northern on strike so much at the moment I have to wonder if any of that nonsense is even worth going through with in the first place! I despair for Arriva.

They were going to transfer to Network Rail management which was scrapped when TfGM decided they were going to manage every station in the TfGM area which was then also scrapped(?).

The original proposal to take over stations in Greater Manchester was a bit daft anyway. Usually TfGM get the benefit of the doubt or get timetable changes they request due to the clout they hold. But even the government weren't sure about the scheme.

If Northern and TPE could make more money from commercial units at local stations as an additional revenue stream then they would have done it years ago!

Where is this Network Rail signage? I see loads of Northern signage - the stuff with the old Northern logo taped over.

Talking of commercial units, Costa is opening next to WHSmith in Victoria.

So you will be about to get a takeaway coffee from Java, Starbucks, Costa and Greggs?
