another fine example of the remainer "altruism" that they claim they have that makes them superior to leave voters... who only ever voted for selfish reasons.
All you voted for was to stop those foreigners from coming to the UK. You have made that very clear. I would say that s a selfish reason.

You are a hypocrite.

The damn chancellor has admitted any form of Brexit will damage the economy. What more do you want?
So your response to my point that the reports/ forecasts are biased by being produced by anti-Brexit bodies is to cite a report by our Chancellor of the Exchequer... who, IIRC, it was made a big thing of when he was promoted to the post, is anti- Brexit

Hmmm shall I go back and repost every single point raised from myself that you have ignored?
was my post aimed at you? no it wasn't... it was aimed at someone else who's only responses to my posts are one liners to the effect "you're talking rubbish" or wilfully not answering the point I made

You really have no idea do you? If any of us moved to Germany or France tomorrow and then the UK bombs out then we are getting sent home. You lot took it all away.
But according to Teflon Lettuce no one matters and nothing is more important than stopping them coming over here. Despite the fact that more than 50% of immigrants are non eu. Wonder is sn eu national stole his girlfriend.

Your a hypocrite of the highest order. You ignore anything you don't like and then call others out for the same thing. Pathetic.

The only points you have made are that you think all remainers think they are better than you and that you think they should be sorting out Brexit.

I suggest you read back through the threads... you will see that I have done much much more than that... I have given detailed reasons why I voted the way I did... what I wanted in an ideal world... and what would work for me as a compromise.... and the general level of "debate" on my views from remainers has been "you're stupid" "you're racist" "you don't know what you're talking about" so I issued the challenge back "what would you do?" to which I got a chorus of "nothing to do with me"
Remainers like to claim that Leavers live in a fantasy land.... and yet surely thinking that just cos you voted to remain will leave you immune to the effects of Brexit is just living in cloud cuckoo land?

It's also telling that not a single Remainer has dared to tell me I'm wrong on that count!

Also, as a slight aside, if we (as a country) can abstract a shed load of corporation-taxable activity from continental Europe - which is what the EU27 are scared of

Which is why so many more large corporates are moving out of the UK as a result of Brexit than the other way?

Also import tarifs would go to the government and not the EU

The EU doesn't collect any taxes or duties.

And remember who pays import duties - it isn't the people selling stuff, it's the people buying it. Yeah, putting a load of duties on goods coming in to the UK will mean a load of extra cash in the Government's coffers, but that's going to be coming from us, not the people in the EU who're still going to be producing goods that we want.

Don't forget though... most of the companies that have said that they are moving out of the UK do not blame Brexit as the reason for doing so.. they are doing so because of the uncertainty caused by Brexit

There is no good deal. The best we can get is what we already had and failing that the mess that May has got. I would have settled for a Norway deal. It really is nothing to do with remainers. We lost and many of us have got over it. We are just sat here with the popcorn now. I mean you are a Brexiteer, you support the whole thing, what are your amazing ideas?

As I have said before... a pre- Maastricht relationship... with the addition that we can take full control of our borders. Literally a trading relationship with absolutely no political union.

That's because nobody is claiming that. People are saying they don't want any part of the ruining of their country. Go ahead - post the quotes from people saying they won't be affected if they don't engage.

Which was never going to happen. So then, are you happy for us to bomb out?

but all remainers do is, at best, stand on the sandlines shouting "We're doomed... we're ALL DOOMED" in their best impression of Pvt Fraser.... considering that Brexit WILL happen and that the deal brokered WILL affect remainers as equally as leavers it doesn't take a large leap of logic to realise that the "superior intellect" of remainers is a myth if they can't grasp that simple fact... BREXIT IS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THEM....

Brexit is absolutely nothing to do with Remain voters because we didn't vote for it.

Rubbish. I have every right to complain about the outcome I haven't voted for.
To be fair the Brexiteers have previous in this nonsense. David Davis and Dominic Raab moaning about the outcome of the negotiations they were directly involved in. Seems insane to me as well for what it's worth. Ha ha.

I would rather we didn't... but if we have to then so be it... what has become clear from the "negotiations" is that the EU is totally intransigent.... and has, to be honest, conducted them in much the same way as remainers have debated:

EU: how shall we deal with the NI border?
UK: we can do a, b and c
EU: No, Non Nein
UK: ok how about d, e and f
EU: No Non Nein
UK: ok what's your idea?
EU: nothing to do with us... you come up with a solution.

What the EU, our government and remainers seem to forget is that the UK is the 6th largest economy in the world INDEPENDENT of the EU... it is also one of the largest net contributors into the EU budget.... that SHOULD'VE given us a stronger hand in the negotiations... so why were we so weak in our negotiations... could it be that the EU could see that the country was bitterly divided and so it could hold out and totally humiliate us.

Remember, at the beginning of the process Brexit supporters warned that the EU would be intransigent and dogmatic....and of course thoroughly ignore the will of the people... we weren't wrong on that score were we?

well to be fair it didn't help that they were negotiating with both hands tied behind their backs... or that they weren't actually empowered to actually negotiate anything.... after all the "chequers agreement" was produced by May, I suspect with no consultation of her Brexit Minister. I also suspect that Raab wasn't consulted on the final agreement... after all I don't see anyone would be silly enough to sign off a document one day and then resign the next day because of said document if they actually had any input into it.

Have you any proof of any of those claims or just as you say "you suspect" aka I'm making it up to prove my point.

Hmmm. If the UK is so important to the EU why are they happy to risk is bombing out? It is clear to me that it is a serious possibility, I am sure is to the EU. The UK economy is now massively dependent on external investment, not on natural resources or what we produce. When we rely on external investment then what God hath given he can taketh away much more easily.

Moving on, why would the EU be bothered about respecting the will of about half of the people of the UK who voted leave, they have much larger responsibilities despite what your British exceptionalism may lead you to believe.

I thought it was obvious that if we were to leave the European Union then it would, quite rightly, be done on the EU's terms. You voted for that.

It is the exact same when you leave a job. You leave on your employer's terms.

Don't have much faith in your fellow Brexiteers there.
