You can only use your Oyster within zones 1-6 with GWR, travel beyond this requires a separate paper ticket.
Which is £25.40 for an Off-Peak Day Return, you may find a cheaper ticket by splitting

Ok thank you! Do u know how much it would cost?
It depends on when you travel. For a single ticket, there's the Anytime (£30.50) or the Off-Peak (£25.30). You'll need the Anytime to depart Paddington between 04:30 and 09:19 (inclusive), or to take most of the 'intercity' services (the ones heading to places like Bristol, Exeter, Cardiff, Penzance etc.) between 16:00 and 19:15. You can see the full details here. If you're not departing during those times or on those services, you can use the Off-Peak ticket.

Although it's worth noting that this is subject to change in the near future. When Crossrail (sorry, Elizabeth Line) actually starts running to Reading, I understand that Oyster will be extended to there. It's not clear whether it will be valid or not on all GWR services, but if it is, the fare structure may mean it's cheaper to tap out at Reading and to use a paper ticket from there to Newbury.

You can use Oyster as far as West Drayton then it's £16.30 return from there.

But unless a travelcard season is held on the Oyster there is a requirement to tap in/out at West Drayton. In effect this means you will have to step back a train.

No you can't do that journey with Oyster and the saving would be only a couple of pounds you might as well by a ticket and go fast most Newbury service from Paddington are fairly fast. Stopping services would take 50 minutes to Reading. Not including touching in and out at West Drayton.
