Hope it works out OK for you tomorrow and you have a good trip!

Sorry to have caused a bit of a hiatus with a seemingly innocent posting of a link to a photo on my site - never heard of anyone having trouble through looking at my photos, but I suppose there is a first for everything...

Cheers, Geoff

In my opinion Your pictures are always excellent with clean links,A W/S driver made comment
he prefers to see you with your gear as opposed to certain others lurking with
with speed cameras:)

STOP PRESS

Saturday 5th December

The 07.23 Wrexham & Shropshire train from Wrexham to London Marylebone is fully booked. Due to this surge in demand we will be running an additional train from Shrewsbury to London Marylebone, leaving Shrewsbury at 08.15. You can buy an 'anytime' ticket to travel in this train, but unfortunately won't be able to make seat reservations. We are not expecting the 08.15 special train to be busy, so you will be able to find seats on this additional train.

The train will be departing from stations at the following times:

Shrewsbury 08.15
Wellington 08.29
Telford 08.35
Cosford 08.43
Tame Bridge Parkway 09.08

any W/S staff reading this, know what class this will be?,will it have catering.Or will ity be a sister company DMU.
good to learn of surge in demand. Pictures please Geoff Dampflok

Wrexham and Shropshire service was fantastic, I really couldn't say a bad word about the whole first class experience.

Food was fantastic, hunters chicken with potato wedges and green beans followed by chocolate truffle cake.

Only down side, and that is a very slight down side, is that we were only offered drinks once, shortly after boarding, and had to ask for tea and coffee later in the journey.

10 out of 10, great work from Wrexham and Shropshire.

As far as I am aware, this relief train will be a Chiltern 168, so sadly not very photoworthy (is that a real word?), but it is good news that the train is necessary due to demand on the main train. I think this is in connection with an event in London, so may be a one off, but still good news!

Cheers, Geoff

why are they adding an extra train,

surely passengers can just change at BHM and get into london quicker and the same price.

Changing in Birmingham wouldn't be the same price, special fares apply to WSMR services.

I find it odd that there is a path available when there are supposedly very few slots to add further services. Can anyone comment?

Don't forget its Saturday for a path, Yes the W/S is full due to the Wave event in the Smoke. Changing the train at Brum would quad the ticket price.

Thought it would be a 168 Geoff.
