My mate at Gillmoss said they are helping out
Thanks. I seem to recall from past years that GM drivers crewed the buses but they borrowed a few RF Tridents to break the E400 monotony. Trouble was the more interesting buses were largely confined to evening shuttles, or at least Sunday, rather than Saturday, daytimes. Last time, I got absolutely drenched for my efforts and virtually all the M&SL buses I saw had actually started life in Manchester anyway!

From pics I've seen on Flickr today, Merseyside's contribution to the Parklife shuttles are perhaps unsurprisingly, the recently transferred Coastliners from down south....have seen pics of 15591/2/3/5/9 at least, plus at least 3 or 4 Gillmoss E300's on rail replacements in the Manchester/Bolton areas, pics of 27288/91/720 so far have appeared on Flickr in the Manchester area today.....

Stagecoach Morecambe, today held a public consultation on proposed service alterations in the Lancaster area. Service alterations which have already been submitted to the Traffic Commissioner!

So whatever people say is just going to get ignored.

Whilst I agree that there was a need for network review. I can help but think that these alterations are going cause more problems, then they resolve! Why renumber the services, when there was no need too?, plus there already is a service number 1, which is the Park & Ride. Plus the new number 1, got two different routes, which will confuse people all the more!

How many people are going to board the Park & Ride, thinking its the new number 1, also how many people are going to broad the new number 2, thinking its the old number 2.

Mossgate Park, which had two buses per hour, suddenly gets six buses per hour. Whilst other areas which use to have two buses per hour, will have none. The Marsh, which had half hourly service, goes to every 40-mins. I can remember the Marsh not that long go having a 15-min service.

New 400MMC 11139 (YX68 UWN) is reported as delivered 11/12/18 & 11140/1 (YX68 UWO/P) on the 12th.

Dart SLF 34717 is earmarked to become a training bus, following 34688 (Carlisle) & 34717 (Morecambe), both of which are now in training livery.

Can anyone please confirm which livery open toppers 17217/77/489/90/5/692 are currently being painted into? Steven Knight Media have mentioned both LakeSider and Lakes Connection.

Thanks, jonesy3001, but the MMCs and the Volvos are not in identical liveries. The Lakesider Volvos are predominantly lime green, while the Lakes Connection MMCs main colour is sky blue.

Lakes Connection - i.e. mainly blue.
In theory they shouldn't really appear much on Lakesider (599) duties, hence the Connection colour scheme.

When I was travelling between Carnforth & Lancaster, on a Stagecoach bus, but my phone thought that I was on a First bus! As I was picking First Bus WiFi from somewhere.
