I'm back in the UK for another 10 days, and want to do a bit of exploring. I was thinking of buying the Freedom of North West Rail Rover 4 in 8 days, http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/pr0a8889c35ce74100b70b85ba4af335.aspxhttp://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/pr0a8889c35ce74100b70b85ba4af335.aspx

Is this product still available? If so, will staff know how to issue one? When does the 8:45am restriction apply? I was thinking of using it tomorrow, then Saturday and possibly one day next week.

Thanks

Tom

Yes.

I've never had a problem buying one.

When does the 8:45am restriction apply?

From the page you linked to: "After 0845 Mondays to Fridays, anytime weekends and Bank Holidays."

Bear in mind that there's a Northern Rail strike on Saturday, so you might not be able to go where you want to go, and if you can, the trains are likely to be very busy.

I was thinking because it's Christmas, the restrictions would be lifted. The plan for Saturday was football, tick off Brunton Park as part of the 92 or possibly Queen of the South, go via Virgin/TPE.

Judging by presentation of the info on BRfares.com it would seem buying before the 2nd of January means that the 08:45 restriction applies throughout the ticket purchased at that time.
