A question about ticket acceptance. On southern's website it states customers can travel via London Bridge/Blackfriars via the tube as Victoria is closed. But the tube staff at Blackfriars would not accept my ticket (a East Croydon - Victoria season) which I thought was a bit unfair?

I would contact both TfL and GTR about this. If they have arranged acceptance then it is their responsibility to arrange acceptance and inform all relevant staff of this.

Did you end up paying for the fare yourself? If so, I would ask Southern to reimburse you.

Did you end up going via another route, and being delayed? If so, I would contact Southern to ask for delay compensation.

i thought as I only have a London Victoria, not London terminals, ticket maybe they got confused as that is apparently quite rare. I used my oyster in the end.

Sounds like the gateline staff on the LU made a mistake by not accepting your ticket. I would do the above so that they can make sure it doesn't happen again. If you had to pay extra then I would seek this back to. A quick way of doing this could be to phone the TfL helpline and ask if they can refund the journey on the basis you had a valid ticket already. Otherwise take it up with LU/Southern (GTR).
