Northumberland Park For Tottenham
Argyle's ground is not far from North Road. I've walked it so I know (1960s).
Crikey you must have long legs! Its the best part of a mile from the station entrance to the nearest corner of the ground, even if you walk in a straight line across the park, so you would have to be walking uphill at 5.5mph to achieve it in 10 minutes.Yes according to google maps it’s 23 mins but easily doable in 10 mins although up hill
Blimey, didn't realise they were still in existence, went on Boxing Day years ago when they were in the Conference versus Welling, then New Years Day for the reverse fixture. I can't remember which year but I bet its a 'time flies' momentThe mighty Fisher FC are a ten minute walk from Rotherhithe.
Hamilton West - Hamilton Academical FC would maybe just sneak in
I wanted to say NewportNewport and Swindon just about possible in 10 mins if you walk fast.
The Portishead line is still there and used by freight. Any reopening to passengers won't deviate from the alignmentWe Bristol Rovers fans are mourning the fact that our station (Stapleton Road, Eastville) is still there, just a few hundred yards from the ground, but they shooed us away and built a b****y IKEA on our stadium!
Our friends and rivals City, at Ashton Gate, are still happily there, but they sadly lost their adjacent station. If the Portishead line is reinstated, especially if a tram train, I expect it will be reinstated, even nearer to the ground.
Fratton for Portsmouth (when the barriers are open!)
You didn't understand my post, I think. I meant a bit further along the line, not a deviation from the existing route. The old station was to the Portishead side of the Weston Road bridge. I'm suggesting it should be brought nearer the level crossing outside the ground. The Portishead line is still there and used by freight. Any reopening to passengers won't deviate from the alignment
Gillingham is just about achievable!
Never tried it and probably stretching the 10 minute limit but Longport for Vale Park?
It's well over a mile and uphill all the way. You might just be able to do it in under 10min if you're a good runner.
