Any update on 387 workings tomorrow down to Newbury? Must be working some of the peak time Paddington to Newbury services.
1K04 will be formed of a 387, possibly 8 car.

Well, there's "leeway" and then there's taking a light-loco out without the boss knowing and proceeding to thrash it!As much leeway as 2903 in 1906 had?
Looks like 1z99 heading to p1 Newbury to rescue a stopper, so interested if it is a Turbo or 387 (and what's rescuing...)
Sounds like theret is overhead wire problems between Midgham & Thatcham, or has a 387 broken down?
Lots of sitting around in the loops at Wantage Road/at Didcot West End on the ECS paths!Last GWR units to stable at Maidenhead Carriage Sidings left this morning, Swindon Cocklebury Sidings in use as of tonight.

Interesting to see how the ECS will be affected by late running down the Swindon - Didcot Parkway section.
By late-running HST’s, you mean?As you say, it'll be interesting to see how badly affected these ECS workings are by late-running IETs.
“2K46 (1114 Reading to Newbury) has come to a stand for a 2nd time on approach to Thatcham after a reported loss of line light and now unable to raise pantograph. 1st report was in Midgham area.“
Are the wires on the B&H line set higher up than the GW mainline as the pantograph on the video shows the 387 at a higher setting?

The second 387 in that clip was going at some lick past Colthrop Crossing if it was going to stop at Thatcham!
Ah I see, thanks. That makes sense!Higher due to the crossing.
I had just arrived at nby (wrong road p2) on 1C81, when the stricken unit was just being dragged out of p1.
So, another cock-up by NR!There are some 387/OHLE compatibility issues on the B&H - they’re very minor; and should be rectified within coming days; but various units banned from B&H work until rectified.
Expect occasional Turbo vice Electrostar substitutions over coming days.
