Trident on the 2 tonight . Still Tridents on 21

The 21 is seeing lots more B7TLs now (mostly the 53-plate ex Yorkshire batch displaced from the 18), and also more B9TLs than ever used to be the case, though Tridents do still pop up from time to time. I'm sure I've seen at least a couple of the Tridents which were formerly used on the 21 popping up on ex-Parkhead routes in the last couple of weeks.

Yeah , noticed that . So the tridents have been transferred to Caley then.

It’ll be exciting to see what appears. Talk of buses for Overtown but apart from that nothing else has been said. Quite a few deckers coming Glasgow’s way so it’ll be exciting to see!

They should order new buses for the 6 and allow the E400s to move on to other routes at Scotstoun like the 77, 9/9A, X8, 3 etc. Routes which could be doing with deckers.

77 has some geminis on it . used to run with the e400s ! x8 is mostly deckers.
The e400s should stay on the 6 , half of it is made of singles too . Caley puts them on the 4/a and 5 .
Maybe a wee add on of low heights ootherwise they are still too new for replacement

Not necessarily. Buses are replaced on routes sooner than that. The 2 or the 62 as it was used to see new buses at least every 4 years.

The 2 is mostly E300S withe some 65 plates and few 68 plates which apparently arent for the 2.

The 6 is lucky to get them e400s , i reckon first is happy just to be put singles on the 6

It does seem odd that First are doing this. There must be logic in doing this as in the numbers must reflect the need for a single over a decker. The 60 is another route which sees mainly B7RLEs now when it used to be completely decker operated. Even the ALX400s are straying elsehwere.

They’re really getting a move on with the new livery. Seeing a lot of E300s being done. They don’t seem to be route branding any more routes for now.

I wonder if there are plans to refurbish more B9TLs and cascade them on to the 60/60A eventually and more and more blue fronted B9TLs are arriving. I find it weird why they are sticking Northern Irish plates on 58 plates. Although they’re about 10 years old I still consider these to be the newer deckers Glasgow has. I can understand with the 07 plates but it’s rather odd.

Yeah , some eclipses have been done too , wonder if we will see a trident in the new scheme?

Some SN55 geminis have come over from Midland in blue colours.

The 58/09 deckers are probably the nicest deckers Glasgow has , lot more comfortable and less stiff than the new e400s.

Seen a B7L on the 6 last few days , yikes for anyone on a long journey on that.

Yeah , strange with the private plates as if someone is gonna buy them after , anyone will be able too find the age of these buses.

Yeah , caught a 60 today from the forge , late and was an eclipse.

Plenty of routes can operate singles i suppose but as long as they are operating to time . Every 12 min service , if that goes down the pan and a single turns up late !
The 31 at peak is often a full trident and running a single is foolish bus does occur.

Your average Joe Public will see a newly refurbished vehicle that, whilst they may twig isn’t new, they won’t know is 10/11 years old.
Quite you only have to look at "The Shuttle" it Bradford to work that out, those buses went through a rather extensive refurbishment program which involved changing the front end to look more like their Eclipse 2 sisters. You would never guess from the outside that they are as old as they are!

It’s not for enthusiasts benefit.

Doubt its to hide the age of the bus to the public , they wont care

Passed a 62 plate E200/300 on the 7 tonight, the fleet number looked like it started 44. I thought all the Glasgow ones started 67? Is this a new arrival at Caledonia or just something I’ve missed?

There E200s and they've been here a while, since Mid 2018 if I remember rightly. I want to say they came from Berkshire and/or Southampton.
