On the Traveline South East website there is this timetable lookup page here - http://www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk/se/XSLT_SELTT_REQUEST?language=en - which allows you to do the following:

• Enter a route number and see a full list of every route with that number.

• Enter a bus operator and see a full list of every route that is run by that operator.

• Enter a place name and see a full list of every route that serves that place.

You can either fill in one or two or three of the fields to narrow down the results.

However it only works for the Southern part of England and the Midlands area as shown here - http://www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk/se/info/regionmap.html - on this map ( basically all of: Avon / Bedfordshire / Berkshire / Buckinghamshire / Cambridgeshire / Cornwall / Derbyshire / Devon / Dorset / Essex / Gloucestershire / Greater London / Hampshire / Herefordshire / Hertfordshire / Isle Of Wight / Kent / Leicestershire / Lincolnshire / Norfolk / Northamptonshire / Nottinghamshire / Oxfordshire / Rutland / Shropshire / Somerset / Staffordshire / Suffolk / Surrey / Sussex / Warwickshire / West Midlands / Wiltshire / Worcestershire ).

So basically i am looking for a timetable search website similar to this which has those three function but for the other part of the UK which are not covered ( basically all of: Cheshire / County Durham / Cumbria / Greater Manchester / Lancashire / Merseyside / Northumberland / Tyne & Wear / Yorkshire / all of Scotland / all of Wales ).

I have been looking but i can't seem to find anything like this. None of the other Traveline sites seem to work this way.

Does anyone know of any timetable lookup site that i could use for these Northern England areas and Scotland and Wales that is similar to the Traveline South East one i mentioned?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Aberdeenshire Council used to have a directory of all the timetables in the area, however it stopped around 2015.

Bustimes.org is probably the best site right now.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I agree that - https://bustimes.org - seems to be the best one so far for other parts of the UK. It is an excellent website for looking up timetables (although it's a shame there is no PDF option).

Although i like the format on the Traveline South East timetable lookup the best. For example if i type in a place name or a route number it will tell me all the services that serve that place or all the services with that route number and also show the bus operators name as well. Where as on - https://bustimes.org - you have to click on each route one by one to see who operates it. So it takes a bit longer if you are looking for a certain bus operator. Although it's only a small inconvenience so not really much of a problem.

The other Traveline websites for other parts of the UK are mostly useless. I am not a fan of their formats. They certainly aren't as good as the Traveline South East one.

Blatant plug warning!

I cant claim it's as easy or quick to use as bustimes (and no timetables on the page or maps) however my site does offer the ability to search by place number/route number and display operators names on the result.

Many thanks. You have a good site there. I wasn't aware of that one. Although i have noticed it is a bit out of date. There are some routes shown which no longer operate and some operators shown which no longer exist.

Well it looks like - https://bustimes.org - now shows the bus operator when you search for a route number or a place name! Thank you so much to the site owner for adding this feature! This is very useful. This is definitely the best bus timetable site available for the UK.
