I got to Trinity via the loop past Granton gasworks. I was therefore on the Edinburgh, Leith and Newhaven line heading towards Piershill via Trinity Junction and South Junction (which seems to be consistent with the itinerary) but East Pilton is back on the CR North Leith branch. More guidance please.

OBSERVATION IN REQUEST FOR "MORE GUIDANCE"

The first three stations on this journey (Barnton/Davidson's Mains/House O' Hill Halt)were on the CR Barnton branch line, then we took the line of the CR North Leith (Granton Connection) Branch Line at Craigleith, then met East Pilton then Granton Road on that line and then met the Edinburgh, Leith and Newhaven Railway at Powderhall.

Those three lines stated above are the first three lines, in that order, on the journey itinerary.

ADJUDICATION

In order to ensure continuancy without confusion, this particular journey will have the first two legs of the journey as originally published completely deleted and this journey will now be viewed as commencing at Powderhall on the Edinburgh, Leith and Newhaven Railway and the journey preamble has now been amended accordingly.

Newly updated rules effective from January 2019

(13)....Railway staff platform halts such as Shap Summit Staff Halt, Slochd Summit Staff Halt, Ashington Colliery Junction Staff Halt and Hoo Junction Staff Halt or any of the many ROF factory halts of any description, are NOT allowed to be used on this quiz.[/QUOTE]

I think that Rule 13 shown above from the above extract of the quiz rules should answer that last query raised.
