Hello all

Anybody here work at Edinburgh Xcountry as driver?

Just looking for a little info, what are the core routes and traction? How long are the jobs. Early starts, late finishes. How is parking at waverley and craigentinny?
Is it a good company? Would you recommend?

Any answers much appreciated thanks in advance

Not either of those things but will endeavour to assist
Traction is Voyager and HST
Simply put routes are Leeds - Aberdeen & Edinburgh - Glasgow via Shieldmuir & Craigentinny depot
Diversions include the Fife circle; via Shotts and Holytown, the Edinburgh suburban line and possibly via Castleford as well.
As for the other things, pass. There certainly is staff parking at Waverley but not sure as to the restrictions.

I'm lead to believe that the majority of work at XC in Edinburgh are early shifts and as early as 0230. Again I believe they have 2 rosters and one of them is a single rest but with a full week off every 5 weeks or something like that.

Sundays not part of the working week

That's not the case. It's a mix of shifts.

Aberdeen to Leeds plus Glasgow. Traction is 220/221/HST.
