Hey guys, I'm new to these fabulous forums so I'm hoping I'm posting this in the correct place, I'm sure I'll get burned if not. Anyhow I've spotted and bashed all of the 390/0's more than a few times other than 390049. I'm not sure if 049 is having an overhaul and has been out of traction for a while or if it is just being elusive for me and I need to go elsewhere to spot/bash it. Any gen would be greatly received. TIA.

Welcome to the forums.

I had 390049 on the 19.47 Liverpool Lime Street - London Euston on 12/02/19 so it should be around. The Manchester and Birmingham routes seem to get more 9 car Pendolinos than the others and they're more frequent anyway so I'd recommend one of those if you're looking for it.

Thanks, that's good to know, I bash out of New St so hopefully in the not too distant future I will spot/ bash her :)

It can veery massively as I see 9 cars on Euston-Blackpool's and on Euston-Scotland services. You really can't just say oh they are mainly on Euston-Birmingham and Manchester's and you forgot Liverpool's to a mixture of them again.

I never said they were mainly on Manchester and Birmingham; I said those two lines get more 9 cars than the others, as in proportionally. Of course Liverpool and Scotland have 9 cars as well, just not as many on a train-by-train basis as Manchester and Birmingham.

We always fetch at least one 9 car daily off Edge Hill, not unknown for 2 or 3 to be 9 cars for our morning sets. Not aware of any Xmas trees or such, so your set should be about somewhere. Only one deffo missing is the set being painted at Ditton. And even that is poking out now.

Set number 49 is out and about and is booked on 9G62 tonight 22:16 off New Street ex Euston.
