I’ve noticed the ticket reservations still have Arriva too. Very simple and quick fix that’s somehow been overlooked. Unless of corse, they have a few million to get rid of first?

New red reservation labels are being used in some locations, mostly in the South (although i did work a a train that originated in Holyhead today that had the red labels) but in the North we still seem to be working through the old ATW stock.

Not my picture but I was very taken by this picture of a 175 on the 175 Wikipedia page - looks fantastic. Reminds me of the SBB livery, but if anything better

Sadly that can't be seen in person, unless the fire-damaged centre car of 107 has been repaired and reinstated

Then if they do, the purchasing manager should be one of the first to go. The contract end date was well known.

As someone who purchases into 6 figures. I wouldn't have a job if I bought figures way past a definite end date
What does it matter? I remember issuing tickets, headed Great Western Railway, in the Sixties. Nobody complained that the train was in B.R. livery.

You would think one of the cheapest and easiest things before the full livery to change would be the coach letters......

Apparently not ....View attachment 59674
TfW coach letters on 823 just pulled into Aberystwyth (where a sign on a door behind a door reads "ATW Mess", and one of the three CCTV signs says "operated by Arriva Trains Wales" despite the other two saying "operated by Keolis Amey Operations"). I've noticed more TfW staff uniforms recently, but yet still the odd trolling "ARRIVA" :D

I saw one at Chester at the weekend and it indeed does look a bit like:

B-2195-096.jpg

SBB EW IV B (2nd class)

I quite like it. The trouble with adding green to it is that green and red clash horribly.

I do however think they shouldn't use this Spartan scheme as a base for the interior - they need to go classy, maybe something a bit like TPE.

Thanks for sharing a pic of 107 without its centre car! I wonder whether that's being repaired at the moment or what...?
Not my image but here's the damage.

Looks like it could need a new window as well as the work on the underside, though it could just be the lighting instead of a burn mark. Wonder what they're gonna do about the livery as they're meant to be painting the rest, not vinyl wrapping.

Thanks for sharing; though I knew about the engine fire it does look rather burnt there

158826 made it to Manchester Piccadilly this morning, seen here having just come off 1W05 from Crewe and getting ready to depart onto 1V35 to Carmarthen:

(Makes the 158s look brand new IMO - once it's been kitted out with the logos and refurbished inside they'll look great)

I was on one service with red labels and it was clear there was a problem with them. The pre printed label doesn't line up the printed reservation making it difficult to read.

Great photos.

I noticed that there was a TfW liveried 158 operated the 08:50 Manchester Piccadilly - Holyhead service on Monday and Tuesday morning this week.

I couldn't see the number of the unit unfortunately. There was no branding on the unit either if that helps.

Did it detach at Chester(one should detach), if so it was 826

Class 769 Flex unit for delivery to Cardiff Canton was due to be loco hauled from Brush Loughborough today. Apparently the drag loco turned up but the run was cancelled at the last minute.
Look forward to seeing pics of the 769 in TfW livery.

what does FL mean...?
On the linked page: "This service was cancelled throughout due to a request by the customer (FL)."

(I added it to my post so that it'd still be visible in a few weeks, when the details are purged from RTT's website.)

Gerald as had Transport for Wales and the ‘T’ logo added to each carriage (although not the driving cars). Still in ATW turquoise though.
