Oldham 1-1 Stevenage

Oldham look on course for victory but for four match in row Latics conceded 90+ mins equaliser goal to be ditch all three points and it could easily been three points for Stevenage as they hit crossbar second left of match. Paul Scholes record after five matches in charge of Oldham is P5 W1 D2 L2. If Oldham fail to win any of next four matches then it fair to say that they be League two team again next season.

You have to feel sorry for Fort William FC. They were winning 1-0 against Wick Academy only for referee to abandon match after 38 minutes.

Spare a thought for Fort William... they finally managed to take the lead in a match, only to have the game abandoned due to bad weather!

Apologies to @familyguy99 , I didn't see he'd already mentioned it.

The less said about our short-lived revival the better!

Evo Stik Premier League

Workington 1 ... Hyde United 2

Matches at Borough Park have been difficult in past years for Hyde and I am surprised that Workington are so low in the league this season. Workington took a 33rd minute lead, but Hyde scored twice in the five minutes before half time. This was Workington's fourth consecutive home defeat. Hyde seem to have recovered from their recent up and down result sequences and this was their third win in their last four league games and takes them up to 8th place in the league.

Darlington 1 v Chorley 1 - At the start of the day a point versus the leaders would have been a good return. With Darlo 1-0 up going into injury time this has to be seen as 2 points thrown away.

Been to Liverpool's biggest two aways of the season in just over the week. The lesson is don't bet on Liverpool winning if I am going. Ha ha. In fact don't watch the game.

It's good to see Ajax back in the limelight. They were always a team to keep an eye on in the 1970's. Nostalgia.

Going pretty well for England Women. 3-0 up at half time against Japan in the SheBelieves Cup. A win would clinch the trophy.

Aren't all the women's matches live on the BBC?

Yes, last night's was on BBC4. They've been trailing that they'll show the England warm-up matches and the World Cup in the summer. Though I assume the World Cup coverage will mostly consist of England and Scotland's matches, rather than the whole tournament as they do for the men.

I suspect there wont be much interest outside of those games. Personally I have no interest in women's football ( it is a different and lesser sport in my mind) and only know this tournament is happening because radio 5 have pushed it.

BTW the name of the tournament is fairly stupid! I assume it is meant to empower and encourage women to try activities not commonly associated with women but it sounds vaguely patronizing to me!

I agree, I don’t see why gender politics needs to be brought into football. I also think it’s weird that the BBC is trying to force it onto the nation.

I have no issue with it being covered by the BBC. They must have taken a decision that there is a good share of the audience to win by showing these games. I just find the name odd.

I was hoping Radio 5 Live or talkSPORT would have broadcast the game on their 5 Live Sports Extra or talkSPORT 2 frequencies. I don't have a TV.

Should be available on line via IPlayer - I didn't have a TV for several years. The only time i missed it was when MOTD wasn't on line!

PS it may also be on five live extra but i am not sure

Not sure how you could "miss" MOTD to be honest, it's really gone down the pan in the last 5 years or so. Being largely ignored by the simpering Lineker (whatever happened to him?) is even worse than being patronised by the buffoon that was Adam Virgo on Channel 5. I'll quite enjoy the highlights on Quest next season!

Indeed, a remarkable win. Apparently they are the first team to progress in the Champions League after losing 1-2 at home in the first leg.

Remember that after this season 50 % of Ajax starting squad will leave the team..

Our days on motd are numbered, I'm still incredulous as to how bad we've been.

We've been appalling at times, for sure. We've also been unlucky, though as the saying goes "you make your own luck". I won't really miss the Premier League, but I still want us to bounce back.

Siewert has said he won't accept we're down until we're mathematically down, and had we got anything at Newcastle and/or Brighton I'd be starting to believe it was possible...

Manchester United have done the unbelievable. A 94th minute VAR awarded penalty to win on away goals, after losing the first leg 2-0 at home, the first team to ever do that in the history of the competition.
