Another planet...
I'll be honest, I don't understand the obsession with plug sockets. Most modern phones/tablets/laptops have a battery life of at least 5 - 6 hours from a full charge, can't people just make sure that their devices are fully charged before they leave home / the workplace?
I'd say plug sockets are a "nice to have" rather than an essential... however I could have done with a plug socket on my SNCF sleeper service to Latour de Carol, or at the very least on the Suburban EMU down the hill to Barcelona!

Shows how many times I sit in the saloon! Even as a passenger I try to get in the back with the guard!

I'll occasionally sit in the saloon when it's really quiet rather then the cab - it's more comfortable!

You might say that, but many would disagree with you. It's the number one thing we get asked for - pretty much on a daily basis someone asks about it. And now that more and more people are traveling with tickets on their phone the issue is only getting worse.

They are going there for repainting. So maybe that'll be the first to be done.

105 now back out, saw it passing Crewe yesterday on a diverted service so not sure why was there, possibly route learning or something for when they do go there. Purely a guess though.

The arrival of 769002 and eventually the rest of the 769s ordered will hopefully bring some relief. Short term use of additional Pacers I think is better than buses and short formed trains

158-830 is the 2nd TfW livery 158 and the 10th PRM modified TfW 158; 14 158s remaining for PRM mods and 22 158s remaining for livery change. 150-253 is the 4th PRM modified TfW 150, meaning 32 150s remaining for PRM mods - see here:

Perhaps people are going to get a big shock regarding PRMs. and their rate of progress. Probably they are doing nothing else such as Exams to get them through quicker

I've heard rumours that TfW is to hire-in three Class 37s and two rakes of four coaches for use on certain peak-hour Cardiff-Rhymney services, freeing four Class 150s. Any truth in this?

Or indeed in rumours of shortened HSTs for the North Wales Coast, or are they simply that - rumours?

If they were to get some HST’s surely it would make more sense to use them on Carmarthen to Manchester runs and maintain them at the now disused Landore depot? (Presumably some staff are still in the Swansea area who know how to maintain them)?

HSTs utter rumour. It takes 3 weeks to train a driver from scratch.
