Does anyone here know if I have a MEWP ticket from my previous job as an electrician would my MEWP ticket be valid on the rail as MC MEWP operator? Or is there anogher course that needs to be done to use it on the rail I have my pts and everything I need to work on the rail just don't know if my MEWP ticket is accepted on the rail as it is.

I’d say look at what mewp catagory you can operate. Depends on what your doing I suppose.

Basically no, although you should be able to do a shorter course to gain the sentinel MEWP competency, mainly for the on/off tracking and the other rail specific side (ALO, other general rules). Having said that, it is possible to use the IPAF qualification on machines that work near the line but don't actually go on track.

I presume you are looking at operating and not machine controlling? As what you have put are 2 different competencies, operator and machine controller.
