Hey all,

I was hoping for some friendly advice. I’m a newbie and have recently applied for a Trainee Train Driver role. After researching I understand there is the Multi Module Interview. Does anybody have any hints or tips in how to prepare for this? I want to be as prepared as possible should I reach that stage.

Thanks again.

6 questions which are on here if you search for them.

Try and use the STAR process to better explain your examples.

Yeah mate just search this forum for MMi and read as many threads as you can, you’ll find all the info you could need.

Just stay calm, take a second to think about your reply, and don't make the age old mistake of overthinking it. At the end of the day, what ever you have given them to question you about is what you have written, therefore you should know what you're talking about when asked.

From how you have worded it, it sounds as if you haven’t even completed the assessments yet, my advice would be do not get ahead of yourself and prepare yourself a stage at a time as it comes.

I would agree here if it’s the case. The MMI is (usually) part of the stage 2 assessments.

Regardless, with the MMI you can’t really prepare until you get the paper in front of you with the 6 questions which you then have 25 minutes to write down answers that you will be asked questions on. So there is your preparation time.

Hi i have completed my DMI and waiting on a date for the stage 2 opc, obviously including the MMI. Do they normally repeat the DMI question in the 6 questions in the mmi? or would they be completely different?

You've done the managers interview before even passing all the assessments?

Seems bizarre to me, perhaps it's a way of cutting the cost of sending people for the assessment. But @severussnape the MMI can be found on here, it's essentially 6 questions for which you will have time to give an answer to each. The MMI will then dig a little deeper into those answers, questions such as: tell me what you done first, what did you do next, what impact did that have, what would you do better etc.

Cheers much appreciated.

Normally you do the pen and paper assessments (stage 1), then the Vienna test (computer tests) and MMI (stage 2) then you have the DMI
Why was yours different?

Northern do DMI first, then all assessments and the MMI in one day.
