Hi all,
My Conductor application with Northern Rail has been "in process" for close to two months now... Is that normal or do Northern take a while to inform applicants when they have failed?

I have yet to have an interview but I've completed the online assessments (numerical, literacy, reactions etc..)

Thanks, Paul

Railway recruitment is a notoriously slow process so don't give up hope yet. The will be in touch at some point to let you know the outcome.

I applied for a train driver role for northern rail via the Deutsche Bahn website and I didn’t have any online assessments. I filled in the details, uploaded my cv, cover letter and references. Have I misssed them? because I didn’t see them.

It took me almost exactly 3 months to hear anything back about my application last year. Don't be too surprised if you don't hear anything for another 6 weeks or so. It doesn't mean you've failed.

I applied for Northern as a driver last year before the recruitment portal switched to DB. Back then there was no online assessment for drivers. Good chance that's still the case so you should be fine, I don't think you've missed anything.

Thanks badger that’s put my mind at rest. I applied on 4th March and my application has been “in process” since then. I keep logging in everyday but nothing has changed thus far. Here’s hoping I can get an interview at least. Hope you hear from them soon Paul.
