How many Volvo 7900 Hybrids are still in the Gold Hybrid livery? most are repainted now I think.
As far as I can tell the following Volvo 7900 Hybrids have not yet been repainted:
1-3
6-7
10-16
and
18-28

(23 buses)

Meaning that the following 27 have already been repainted:

4-5
8-9
17
and
29-50

as of Monday the 18th of March 2019.

It's Central but the early morning weekday service from Cramond to Surgeon's Hall is a Marine working, the bus then runs on the C134 for the rest of the day. (I actually have a Flickr post about exactly that working https://www.flickr.com/photos/16009...2bHLT6o-2br7P8g-QEo8zb-2a2srvf-QEg7vm-2a2srR5 )

Ahh I see, very interesting, I like finding out about these odd journeys of a service operated from a different depot than the main service. (Like the 30 has three early morning journeys on a Sunday (Leith Street to Hay Drive and back) run from Central)

There used to be a morning 36 journey operated by a Marine single deck from Ocean Terminal at about 8 o'clock, as far as I can recall it only went as far as Sighthill. No idea what it went onto afterwards.

I saw 1065 doing "Route Trialing" this morning. It headed Northwards on Colinton Mains Drive, showing "Bus constantly stopping" on the rear display at about 1015, then again heading into town on Slateford Road, near Robertson Avenue at about 1130. It had "Route Trialing - Bus constantly stopping" on the front display. I would have thought that 'trialing' would have been done BEFORE they thought about ordering buses of inordinate size!

I saw a 400 XLB on the 16 route this morning: it was taking the turn in to Redford Road from Oxgangs Road North rather gingerly. I think it was showing 16 on the front - but I might have imagined it simply because that's the route it was following. This would have been a bit before 09:30.

These buses are in service on the 11 and 16 so you wouldn't have imagined it.

....I would imagine that they were route tested for 11 and 16 before entering service, but not route tested for *every* route Lothian run....perfectly feasible to now be testing suitability to other routes (either with a view to expand them on to other routes or even just suitability to cover vehicle breakdowns)

....and on the subject of the E400LXB's, I noticed both yesterday and today the 16 to Silverknowes leaving Tollcross about 06:25 were not operating with them, but standard buses

701 is in harlequin livery (which just looks odd with the LED display!)

On the topic of breakdowns... One of the E400XLBs has already went through it's rear tyres yesterday.

Pretty certain I saw 2 yesterday in the new livery.
Yup I saw it today off service, As far as I know these have been/are in the process of being done:

2-5
7-9
17
23
25-50

I'm sure more of Longstone's 14 plates have been done but unsure of exact fleet numbers

What happened to it apparently getting route 3 livery? Hopefully gets blinds and adverts back. Also im wondering if it will operate in general service as the 55 plates are still running

One of Lothian's PR team said on Facebook that it'll have tartan seats and blinds fitted (why not just do it on one that still has blinds...). Mentioned that it wasn't in route 3 livery to avoid "causing any confusion" which I can only assume means it'll be out on normal service

That or more likely the special services (98,99 etc) the other modern heritage fleet operate on.

I've seen a WIP picture of 701 in route 3 branding so was obviously a changed plan

I can confirm that 15 is still in Eco Gold - it's out on the 30 this afternoon
