Also, don’t take for granted tomorrow’s date as these adverts have been closed early before (like Waterloo has now?). Good luck anyone who’s applying!

I applied for Guildford as Waterloo was taken off the website while I was filling the application form, Do you think they'll consider me for Waterloo instead based on where I live, I did say I am willing to relocate. Or should I just call them tomorrow to explain the situation?

Exactly the same issue, halfway through filling out the application and it's been pulled. What time was it advertised?

There’s one newer too that I started last year. Albeit not for all the same depots...

Cool, another good thread for reference.

Call tomorrow to explain, they may consider you still, only they will be able to tell you.

Not sure, I noticed it about 5 mins before I posted it today.

Anyone sat the first online assessment and passed? If so, how long did the second take to come through?

From what I understand that is an automation error. There is only one online test which is the situational judgment test. It does leave you thinking you have not passed though I know as nothing comes through but I have experienced the process and got invited to the assessment centre.

Seriously? I was trying to tell myself that maybe it had to be manually checked or something otherwise if it was automatic results I had failed it!
Ok, I guess for now no news is good news. Good luck everyone who managed to complete the application.

Pretty sure I did two assesments when I applied last November? There’s the SJT and a really basic numerical test where you had to match the codes (which I was pleased with as I hate numerical reasoning and don’t do maths!).

That’s interesting. I wonder if they send that only in certain circumstances? I.e depending on a person’s qualifications etc?

Was looking to apply, since I've worked at Waterloo before. It would be like coming home to where I started in the rail industry! Alas I'm just over an hour away.

It's a generic process for certain roles, so unlikely. For example, some roles require verbal reasoning and numerical reasoning tests to be undertaken, where some require no assessments. It's usually up to the recruiting manager which assessments they want people to sit, and they can also ensure certain candidates get through to the paper sift (although it does seem underhand, it's the way it goes). For a drive such as trainee train driver, I'd imagine the company has their set procedures in place.

Got the rejection email today. Oh well. On to the next one

Sorry to hear that. Keep at it. I know some of the other TOC’s have already done recruitment drives but I expect you won’t have to wait long for another opportunity to apply.
