I went out trainspotting yesterday (24th March 2019) and I saw the
1P63 1432 Hereford to Oxford
at Kingham. As I am interested in such things, I have just looked at RTT to see what the headcode for the service was. I found this information, but RTT also said:
"This service was cancelled between Oxford and London Paddington due to a problem under investigation (OZ)".
I'm not very good at abbreviations and the like. If anyone could tell me what "OZ" means, and what the "problem" may have been, please let me know.

Thanks,

-Peter

OZ is a code used internally within the rail industry for delay attribution purposes; there are hundreds of these two letter codes each with a different meaning. OZ means Operating - other causes which covers just about anything and everything. Realtimetrains interprets this as “a problem under investigation” but the details of what has actually happened are held in the internal delay attribution information which isn’t part of the public data feed.

In reality it was a TPWS fault. The delay codes in RTT are frequently rubbish compared to what's actually input, and even then what's input isn't necessarily ultimately right, for instance a fault with one thing could actually turn out to be a symptom of a fault with something entirely different.
