Around May time there's normally diversions on Virgin services where they avoid the WCML from Crewe, diverting through Piccadilly P13/14 and Bolton. Are these still running this year, and if so, does anyone know what dates?

May bank holiday weekend there is an hourly MKC-PRE service via Bolton and Piccadilly.
Euston is shut as is Preston-Glasgow.

Also happening Easter Sat/Sun and a few on Mon (April 20/21/22).
VT Liverpool services also running via Chat Moss on Sunday 21 April, also 5/26 May.

As far as I can see on RTT they go via Crewe (picking up truncated Scotland-Birmingham-Euston paths there).

They have to go via Crewe anyway as Virgin Drivers from Preston/Liverpool depots don't sign the route from Cheadle Hulme to Kidsgrove.

They did and it was Manchester and Euston drivers both getting relieved at Stockport by Liverpool crews.

Also been Crewe-Stoke diversions when Crewe-Stafford is shut. Taking the Hixon route.

Yes this route is signed by all Virgin drivers (except Scottish based) and train managers from Colwich - Stoke - Alsager - Crewe and is used quite often for diversions.
