I use the Northern service which runs between Manchester Piccadilly and Rose Hill Marple which I believe is one of the only places in Greater Manchester without a Sunday service, could anyone confirm this?

What other lines are deprived of a Sunday service (or any service at all for that matter?)

Llandudno and Blaenau Ffestiniog branches during the winter timetable (though I am aware that is due to change for at least the former) and Bedford to Bletchley

There’s also no Sunday service between Gainsborough and Doncaster on the GNGE Joint Line, but Gainsborough to Lincoln is served by Northern on Sundays.

Huddersfield to Wakefield Kirkgate has no Sunday service. The Wakefield to Knottingley line didn't have for a long time, but it may have one now that the service extends to Leeds after Wakefield. Perhaps someone can confirm?

Also no Calder Valley via Dewsbury services on a Sunday, but all stations are served by other services.

The Wakefield to Knottingley Sunday service was, if I can remember, introduced last year at the infamous timetable change of May 2018. Prior to that there was nothing at all stopping at Streethouse, Featherstone or Pontefract Tanshelf on a Sunday ever since the line was reopened in 1992.

The Looe Valley Line roughly loses its Sunday service for around eight to nine weeks and tomorrow (Sunday 31st March) it gets its Sunday service back until the end of the year. Link opens as a PDF.

The Humberlinc Line (Barton on Humber to Cleethorpes) doesn't have a Sunday service between December and May. The Doncaster to Scunthorpe branch (SYPTE Route SY1) doesn't run on a Sunday which means Thorne South, Crowle and Althorpe isn't served on a Sunday.

About three or four years ago when major work was being done on the Liverpool to Wigan line, Northern Rail ran a blockade buster on the Kirkby Line on a Sunday. Naturally, I had a go on it and still have my ticket somewhere. It would be good to get the Kirkby line back open on a Sunday.
