TPE Smartcard

Hi folks,

Does anyone know what station(s) currently accept TPE smartcards? I'm travelling TPE between Liverpool and Manchester, neither of which (apparently) are active yet, and the support folks don't know when they will be.

I'm just wondering if it's worth keeping, or throw it away and get another one if I'm still doing the same journey when they get a Round Tuit.

Despite talking about introducing them from January this year, I don't think they are active anywhere yet. They are talking about introducing them for season tickets only first.

Stalybridge's TVM has a smartcard reader pad and an option to use it on the TVM. If you press it it just asks for you to put a card on the reader.
