You've definitely improved on the last few seasons, such that promotion was yours to throw away... one thing I've missed the last two seasons is being competitive in a division where anyone can beat anyone. The Championship is a much more entertaining competition than the PL, as you may find out if you manage to get up.
It was never really 'in the bag,' so I don't feel like we've thrown anything away. Our run-in always looked tougher than that of Sheffield United and we've not been truly comfortable in the automatic spots all season.
Well, we've flirted with success this season and we've already seen the downside, in terms of away ticket availability (didn't have any problem getting one against Histon, Hereford, or Southend midweek 3 seasons in a row...). Even home tickets are now strictly rationed to the point that as a season ticket holder for 21 years (admittedly with a gap after we got promoted from L1), I'm not even allowed to buy one extra ticket for a home game. We're well versed in silly kick off times due to Sky. We've got global media coverage and fanbase (Bielsa has improved this even more). I look at the PL and half the fixtures don't hold much interest. The only thing that interests me about the PL is the long term financial security it
should deliver. If we somehow got promoted, my joy would be fleeting. Merely competing would be a struggle.
My main concern, wherever we end up this season is keeping Bielsa.
