This is an idea, could you not extend these to not run to malvern, but run to worcester shrub hill, and then on to birmingham new street?

i don't know whether this is an option., therefore giving the service back that xc took away..

calling pattern

bristol
all stations to gloucester
cheltenham
ashchurch
worcester shrub hill
birmingham new street

The Twiglet Zone.
FGW already do it to Gt Malvern with certain trains going to/from Brighton & Southampton.

As for extending them to Birmingham, no as it's a part of the LM franchise.

also, these services are often worked by 150s, which are banned from the Lickey Incline.
Well thats what wikipedia says anyway. surely that cant be right? dont LM have some 150s on that route? or do they all go Worcester/Kidderminster/Birmingham?
well I guess FGW could go that way too...

good old ****ipedia, what do they think worked the local services up there before Central 170s. They can handle the bank just as well as a turbo anyway, due to the more accelerative gearing.

Wikipedia is only as good as the people who put the information in there. If you guys know otherwise, why not amend it :D
