Thanks for the reply. I did wonder if there was a Rangers connection.Apologies for the response as I have only just seen this post.
Regarding Larkhall's moniker, I have heard a few individuals refer to that as if you ever visit Larkhall, you will not find the colour green there, except for grass and traffic lights. Most of the townsfolk what I have heard are staunch supporters of the Orange Order, and take the events of 12th July 1690 very seriously.

Heard both of those when I lived in the former... the natives also had numerous nicknames for the (in the consensus opinion) rather backwards neighbour to the south along the railway and A38, of which the rather juvenile "Smellington" is the only one that didn't slanderously allege that Wellingtonites were keen on "keeping things in the family", if you get my drift... it was also the only one that even tried to be a pun!Not to be confused with Bilgewater.
Yep!A certain football pundit dubbed my hometown (or rather the football team, which to be fair was appropriate) "Cruddersfield" a few months ago. A bit simplistic and juvenile, but I get it.
However as this pundit goes by the name of Jason Cundy, you'd think he'd be a bit more careful about switching the odd letter for a cheap joke!
