You are a better man than me then. I had plenty of doubts. Ha ha. Beating Barca without two of our big name players was something else. We were lucky in some ways and I can't deny that. Amazed players of the standard of Messi and Suarez didn't make us pay.

I think there is something magical about Anfield on a Champions League night. It does something to the Liverpool players and perhaps more importantly it seems to affect the opposition.

Whatever it is, I just get more and more amazed at Liverpool in Europe. Really hope it's another European Cup in the Anfield trophy cabinet come the end of the season

As an LFC Season Ticket holder I have just had my first request off a mate if I get a ticket to the Final in Madrid through the season ticket ballot can he have it.
I dont go to the Finals as it costs so much money that I can better spend elsewhere.

First of all we (Ajax) has still to go through against the Spurs. We should have done more with more difference in goals. The view is that we had more chance against Barcelona than Liverpool. I predict that Liverpool will win the CL final. No matter who wins tonight.

Hat's off for the victory - Barca didn't show up and were happy to sit on three goals, until they suddenly became one then none!

I did think that the goal from the final corner was on the edge of unsporting behaviour - you'll see that the second ball was just being cleared out of play when the "opportunistic" corner was taken. Many players rightly believed that L'pool were still setting up.

Quite funny that the last time I visited this thread was after the 3-0 win by Barcelona when it was all doom and gloom from the Liverpool supporters. Oh how times have changed

They just need Brighton to do them a favour while they avoid a banana skin against Wolves and they can go into the CL Final as Premier League champions. I wonder what the odds of Liverpool winning the PL & the CL this season were at the start of the season...

I presume you would also think that any free kick taken early is on the edge of unsporting as well? Whether it's a free kick or corner, if the opposition have switched off it's their fault alone.

If Messi had done that last night the internet froth would have been 100x further off the scale.

In this case it's slightly different to the quick free kick as the ball that went out for the corner was still rolling off the pitch when the ball boy gave Alexander-Arnold a new ball to take the corner with. I would say that it's reasonable for Barcelona to have not expected a corner to arrive so quickly (although in the age of multi-ball you probably should always be ready) on this basis but was still very clever by Liverpool

Play to the whistle. Alexander-Arnold's corner was both genius and hilarious. More than one player on the the pitch was guilty of being slightly unsportsmanlike like.
