Hello all

Anybody here work for gbrf at Peterborough who could tell me what the work is like? Roster pattern? Weekend working? I hear overtime is paid yearly in a lump sum, is that true? Do you get paid 30 mins travel to work? I like the idea of freight as I am from a road freight background whereas I see my current job rather like being a bus driver which is good but maybe not for me. I like the thought of predominantly driving. Am I mistaken?

You can choose to have overtime paid yearly or monthly.
Currently a 25 man link with about half that number working on Saturday and Sundays
You do not get paid 30 minutes travel to work. You have to give them 30 minutes of your own time to travel to work if working at a remote location, however the company should provide you with transport such as company van, hire car, taxi or pass on train.

Thanks for the response, much appreciated.
The depot is in numbers then?
Is overtime paid at normal rate and Saturday and Sunday normal rate?

No overtime rate at GBRf so all overtime whether Saturday, Sunday or a bank holiday is all basic rate.
