They're not going to fit a buffet to StanEx, that would be stupid.
Once the fleet introduction is all done, it'll be very simple for Greater Anglia services:
Everything that operates at all off the wires will be class 755
The Stansted Express will be dedicated Class 745 with no 1st, no catering and no bike spaces
Norwich Express will be 745s with 1st, catering and bike spaces
Everything else will be Class 720 Aventras- 1x5 car (equivalent to 6 car of todays stock), 2x5car (12 car equiv) or 10 car (12 car equiv)
I doubt that as the current electrostars on stanstead express dont have first class
Miles off. Loads of issues. They only need two units to make one pair, since there is only one diagram and its simple, how soon will two 755s be available?
Very interesting, any more details, please?Miles off. Loads of issues.
Well last nights test run to Lowestoft and back was cancelled. Again.
so when is the next run of the 755sAs no paperwork was issued for the running of the Lowestoft trip, and none for tonight's proposed Cambridge trips, assume they cancelled sometime ago. (remember they are only 'Q' paths) Nothing booked for Friday night, there is a 'plan' to run a 755 to Liverpool Street and back Saturday night, but in all reality I cannot see that taking place, too much engineering work in the way !
correction: the Cambridge test trips did take place Thursday night / Friday Morning
The 12 car 745 Electric will do one run from Crown Point to Colchester and back tonight, departing CP approx. 2300, only one trip due to Engineering work at Diss overnight
Was that http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O05577/2019/05/13/advanced ? Listed as Electric locomotive empty coaching stock.
Shame it had to shut off at 30mph for the crossover. Superb acceleration. That takes off like the proverbial off a shovel, doesn't it?
They make even the Class 360s feel slow. That takes off like the proverbial off a shovel, doesn't it?
Interesting that there are no tables at the facing seats. Are they to be fitted later, or have GA decided that they aren't necessary for Stansted?Yes.

It's all about cramming as many seats in as possible unfortunately at a reduced seat pitch that doesn't have space for proper sized tables.
Maybe some will realise shortly why Greater Anglia have avoided answering many direct questions on seating ever since order was announced.
No ironing board seats but reduced legroom and lack of tables instead.
Still would like to see a video of the doors/step in action! All the spotter videos seem to be at the opposite platform
There are going to be tables on the IC version. It's very common for tables to be fitted last - I'm sure when the prototype 80x were knocking around they didn't have tables, nor did the TPE Mk5s early on.
I wouldn't say the legroom in the facing seats looks bad. The airline pair visible on the video looked a bit tight, though.
Yet the absence of further detail and the fact there was a run to Liverpool Street very recently calls your post into question. Unless it's just an opinion, in which case, it still could be wrong.Miles off. Loads of issues.
The legroom in the facing seats is bad if you are coming from a 379 with a table. You wouldn't be able to fit a 379 style table in that seating arrangement as there wouldn't be room for it without blocking access to getting in and out of seats.
Those of you in Airline seats are going to be in for a shock, that's all I can say, especially when you try and use the table
