Reading some of the posts in the above thread started by Deepgreen on the "Infrastructure and Stations" forum, I thought of similar gaffs in a non-railway context, caused again by sloppy proof-reading/spelling errors, in places where you'd expect a higher standard.
I was once amused when checking-in to an hotel, to find a printed notice at reception apologising for the undue noise while some rooms were being renovated, concluding with the words "Please bare with us while this work is taking place"
When I informed the receptionist that if it were all the same to her, I'd prefer to keep my clothes on, she laughed and said "I know - I've told the manageress, but she won't listen"
Am I just being my usual pedantic self, or would others like to record any amusing stories they remember?
