I'll start off with Hull Paragon Interchange, a combined bus and train station located right next to St Stephen's shopping center and at one end of this shopping centre is a large two floors 24 hour Tesco Extra.

There's actually not that many I can think of. Neither Bristol nor Bath has a supermarket next to them, or Newport or Swindon.

Swansea bus station has got a large Tesco next to it.

Gloucester has got an Asda across the road and a small Tesco Express next to it.

Somerfield and Coop actually built a number of their larger stores in places like Monmouth, Cinderford and Lydney specifically next to bus stations (or on them!) because of their target demographic.

Others off the top of my head are Andover (Lidl), Seacroft inLeeds (Tesco), Ripon (Sainsbury’s), Bicester (Sainsbury’s), Bishop Auckland (Aldi), Middlesbrough (Sainsbury’s), Alnwick (Morrisons), Ashington (Asda), Darlaston (Morrisons), Wells (Tesco).

Sure there’s plenty more

Whilst not transport interchanges, Batley Bus Station is next to a big Aldi, a Tesco Extra and a smaller Iceland and Asda.
Huddersfield Bus Station is next to Sainsbury's.

In the North West, yes. 28 branches, which I'm sure is more than Waitrose have in the same area.

Yes but only in the North West. 28 isn’t a particularly large chain when you consider Waitrose has 350, Morrisons has 500 and Asda more than 600.

Aldi opened 24 in November/December alone!

Some more - Brecon (Morrisons), Oswestry sandwiched between Aldi and Morrisons, Telford (Asda), Burnley (Tesco), Kidderminster (Tesco), Stanley (Aldi)

Maidstone bus station is adjacent to a Sainsbury's. The old Chatham bus station was on top of a Sainsbury's, but the new bus station is 100 yards or so away.

It's only two stances and isn't really a bus station proper, but the timing point for buses in Borehamwood town centre - and the hub of the local network - is the Tesco car park.

If you're in the North West that's not really relevant though, is it?

And it also depends on how you interpret the original question.
Is it asking about any size supermarket, that belongs to a large chain, or a large supermarket, belonging to any size chain?

Large supermarket in a chain, or a supermarket of a large chain? Fair enough - I’d gone for the latter.

The other point sounds rather parochial!

Redditch - shopping centre above Bus Station and Rail Station opposite

Loads of large Shopping Centres dotted about that have bus stations - Trafford , West Mids Merry Hill , Lakeside , Gateshead Metrocentre , Cribbs Causeway

If I was using the bus to get my weekly shopping I wouldn't care how big the chain was, just that the shop was big enough to have everything I want. So I'd rule out the smaller Tesco Express, Sainsburys Local type shops, despite them being big chains.

Castleford is next to Aldi and a small Morrisons, although the major supermarket for the area is actually in Glasshoughton!

Rotherham has a new Tesco over the road. While the interchange was being refurbed the temporary interchange was on the site of the old Tesco

Bishop Auckland’s Aldi is on the edge of town. If I remember correctly the store adjacent to the bus station you’re thinking of was a Netto, and is now a B&M. Going back in time a little further though, the towns Asda used to be adjacent to the bus station in the adjacent Newgate Centre, (it’s now Wilko) before it moved to its current location.

A few posters have mentioned various bus stations in Newcastle without mentioning Eldon Square: Newcastle’s Eldon Square bus station has a Waitrose (that really needs to be bigger than it is!) almost directly adjacent in the Eldon Square shopping centre.

Of course there are also plenty of railway stations that have full sized supermarkets adjacent (especially here in the north east where Morrisons seem to love building on ex-railway land) but of course that’s for another thread.

I'd be interested to hear of those large supermarkets that were there before the transport facility

Yate bus station is right next to one of the large 2 floor Tesco superstores and Asda Cribbs Causeway has a bus interchange of sorts at the edge of the car park.

Truro station is pretty close to a large Sainsbury's. Bit of a hill, but at least it's downhill if you've got shopping (done it a few times.)

Elgin bus station has an Aldi on the other side of the road, linked by an underpass. Located not too far away is a large Tesco store, and there's also a M&S food store which is actually built on the site of the previous bus station. I'm probably stretching a little bit, but there are a few bus services which stop outside the railway station, which has an adjacent Lidl and an Asda on the other side - I'm not sure if that really counts as an "interchange", though :)

I'm not sure if you could count Inverness any more; Safeway had a store located on Rose Street, which was accessed by a short walkway through the multi-storey car park. It closed when they opened the larger store on the other side of the railway station (now Morrison's), but there's still an Iceland store on the original site.
