Depends on the TOC some don’t.Morning all. Sorry the hijack the post. Does anyone know if you can transfer in to the railway pension from the fire service pension? Have about 13 years service.

Correct. That was the information I was given also as I looked to transfer 11 years Fire Service Pension across. Non-transferrable.I been told the situation with transfering fire brigade pensions might have recently changed and you are no longer allowed to transfer them outside of the public sector. Id be interested to know if anyone has managed to do this within the last year.
Just spoke to the pensions department in my brigade. He said that we can transfer our pensions into a defined benefit pension scheme.
