My son and I have advance purchase single tickets Glasgow - Slough with Family Railcard.

My wife has an undiscounted advance purchase single Glasgow - London (paid for by someone else) on the same train as us.

Is my wife entitled to Family Railcard discount on an Anytime Single from Paddington - Slough?

Entitled to use? Yes, provided you all travel together and she is named on the Railcard. However you may find difficulty in purchasing just one ticket on its own with a Family Railcard. It may be necessary to visit one or more ticket offices to get what you are after.

You shouldn’t have any issue getting this at Paddington ticket office.

Just regarding this, with the F&F Railcard Terms & Conditions there are a number of paragraphs of text headed "INFORMATION", one of which reads as follows...
Discounted price tickets purchased by a Family & Friends Railcard holder should be issued for travel for the same origin and destination and should normally be of the same ticket type (example all Off-Peak Returns).

I appreciate this isn't an actual clause in the T&Cs as such, plus it can also be read in a number of ways... however it's not particularly useful in clarifying matters!
