The cup final was painful to watch. Watford got their tactics, shape and approach all wrong and City didn't even have to try! While celebrating a treble City must know they have thrown away a Champions League.

Watford did have a couple of early chances which they failed to take. Had either of those gone in, it would have been a very different game.
Chumps League - we'll be back for that next year - it was only a missed penalty that kept us out. We had a tough time winning the league in the run in and I would rather have that than the CL. Next season will be interesting if LFC keeps their form.
I wouldn't think City would consider playing Liverpool in the final an easy proposition compared to anyone else. We battered Barcelona at home and battered City last season.I disagree. They might have had a penalty but I doubt that would make much of a difference. City barely had to try. City were impressive in the ease in which they won.
you might not get a better chance!

True but we finished one point behind them. I think there is one other team City would rather not play in Europe though and we knocked them out .Maybe - but I bet offered a chance they would chose a PL opponent who they know inside out over anyone else. You also failed to beat City this season.
That'll be Palace, think the only team to beat either of the pair away! Unfortunately the Eagles didn't quite make Europe this time, but it's amazing that City and Pool played 38 home games and there was just that one defeat!True but we finished one point behind them. Remember him tearing us a new one for Stockport County as a young academy product. We signed him (on loan I think) a few years later after he'd had a few injuries. He wasn't quite the same player by then sadly.Big news in the national league north: Darlingotn have a new manager: Alun Armstrong will join us from Blyth Spartans, who he lead to the play offs this season, on Monday

2-0 Arsenal (my English team are Arsenal so I’m biased though)Any predictions on the Europa League final score? I’m going for 1-1 and Arsenal to win on penalties.
Even by my standards that was a poor prediction.I’m going 3-2 to Arsenal in normal time. Just off to watch it now, and my predictions are generally terrible...
Was this the last game for Petr Cech?
I felt sorry for the fans who stood little chance of either getting a ticket,
Getting a ticket wasn't a problem. The two finalists sent half their tickets back because they couldn't sell them.

From the stories I read, it was the cost of travel and accommodation that caused most to give it a miss
Agreed - though 6K per finalist in a stadium with a capacity of nearly 70K is appalling. The location and the allocation shows no respect for the fans. Maybe the allocation was a recognition of the travel issues? Which begs the question - why have the game there? (Answer = $$$)
I don't know what the allocations are in the Chumps League at the weekend, though I'm pretty sure that the fans will have much less than 50% of the seats.
I only saw the last half of the game - what a poor stadium and shocking atmosphere. We can't let UEFA continue to hold games in the back end of nowhere on a Wednesday night - this is supposed to be a European Cup
Well, it was scoreless at half-time.
Incidentally, was this a League final or a Cup final?
I wonder if the Europa league final had been contested by Liverpool and Man United, would half the tickets have been sent back then?Getting a ticket wasn't a problem. The two finalists sent half their tickets back because they couldn't sell them.
I’m not watching it, but do you mean the game’s been stopped for 28 minutes while they make a decision?Anyone agree with VAR, or the time it takes for a decision?
The CAF Champions League semi-final 2nd leg is currently on and it's now 28 minutes since the incident happened, still no decision*.
*He was onside, the problem is that he played for the away team.
