Great, if only they did other days as well (I work Saturdays :(), but I'm guessing there is little market for that.
I had assumed that they would be doing them again after I saw a "Not In Service" 159 departing Weymouth a couple of weeks ago, obviously on a driver training run.

According to the article in the Dorset Echo, the SWR service would "interfere" with the Norden to Swanage service

Would potentially interfere with their finances in a big way if people could get to Swanage without changing...

Excellent! Thank you for the heads up. Will use this service again. Hopefully will be able to get a complete run from Corfe Castle to Waterloo this time without having to change at Salisbury.

Just to be clear, can I buy tickets from my local station- Horsham- booking office? Thank you.

0835 London Waterloo to Wareham
1117 Wareham to Corfe Castle

You need 2 sets of tickets, as this is SWR, assuming you can buy at any NR outlet

Sorry you misunderstood: The first morning service ran Basingstoke to Corfe Castle and the last afternoon service ran Corfe Castle to Waterloo. Both with four reverses; Yeovil Junction, Yeovil Pen Mill, Weymouth and Wareham. Tickets from Salisbury and various other points I can no longer remember. I had Salisbury tickets joining at Dorchester West (having come via Barnham, SOU and Dorchester South) as it was impossible to get to Basingstoke or Yeovil to pick up the train. On the return leg the unit made it as far as Salisbury then was retired. The whole trip was quite expensive, £65, made a nice but very long circular day.

PS: Not yet looked in RTT to see what’s happening this year as I’m at the Churnet Valley.

Taken a look now on RTT:

Waterloo 06:35 Corfe Castle 11:35
Corfe Castle 12:10 Poole 12:54
Poole 14:51 Corfe Castle 15:30
Corfe Castle 15:44 Waterloo 2019

Tickets appear to be bookable to 24th August 2019
STP timing in RTT until 7th September 2019

Looks like things don't go according to plan yesterday 25th May 2019...

I used Rail journey planner, for the details, as for the SR, thingsdidn't go to plan today as well. Apparently, 34072 has injector problems, the driver decided to drop the fire at Harmans Cross, this mucked up the service. 34072 eventually rescued by the 26 which then took over the remainder of the days workings
