What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld
11 May

Portlethen
Dyce
Broughty Ferry
Monifieth
Invergowrie (both alight and boarding done, as I only alighted in 2015 and got bus to Dundee)

I would have also done Carnoustie and Golf Street the other way around from when I done that in 2015, but the 17:01 ex Edinburgh Waverley - Arbroath was curtailed to terminate at Dundee.

Loch Awe (for the purposes of boarding, as I already alighted here in 2017)
Lower Tyndrum
Upper Tyndrum (to do the walk between both stations the other way round from when I last done it in 2017)
Locheilside (is this a pointless station? You cannot even access the banks of the loch, and the main road to Glenfinnan and Mallaig directly runs past, but there seems nothing around that this station serves)

We might have been on the same train at some points. For my shack for the 12th of May was:

Falls of Cruachan

Anyone wishing to walk between Marple and Rose Hill Marple stations, I would recommend doing it from Rose Hill Marple to Marple as it’s rather steep.

Seems like everyone's been out and about in Scotland recently...

7th May:
Dumfries
Auchinleck
Kirkconnel
Sanquhar
Annan
Gretna Green

8th May:
Montrose
Aberdeen
Dyce
Laurencekirk
Portlethen
Stonehaven

10th May:
Prestwick Airport
Newton on Ayr
Prestwick Town
Ayr
Stranraer
Girvan
Maybole

11th May:
Springfield
Invergowrie

That leaves just 100 Scotrail shacks remaining to be scratched.

.

I wonder if the unlimited travel at weekends when you hold a weekly season ticket 'enhanced compensation' thingie had anything to do it with ;)

Good news on getting down to double figures for Scotrail, I'm guessing those will mainly be the ones north of Inverness or on the West Highland line

I think that you may find that they've done quite with extra income for this, as people wouldn't be paying as much otherwise!

I know, I took advantage one of the weekends to do some odds & sods on the West Highland Line which otherwise would have needed day returns on another day.

The best I could do on the Lancashire Day Ranger with the meltdown of the overhead wires between Preston and Wigan yesterday.

All stations visited between Preston and Blackburn.
