They did say within a week we would hear but is that just if successful, I suppose unsuccessful will get the standard email etc, for info purposes we got told 10 drivers at Manchester 10 at YORK

I was at the Queens Tuesday, i think they said early next week most likely mon or tues.
I’m not hopeful as my interview went baaaaaad, I froze up twice and then got a rules question wrong, they didn’t tell me but I immediately kicked myself as I walked out of the interview room as I realised the mistake I made, but I guess I won’t rule anything out jut yet lol

Yeah the question was about a failed headlight and I went straight to talking about reduced speeds and portable headlights instead of simply saying to switch over to the other day/night beam proper kicking myself lol

But yeah I was for mancs too, only spoke to one other guy who went for York, would have thought there were others though

Yeah we all got same rules questions, I actually got asked 3 this time was 4 last time around, the question they didn’t ask which I was waiting for was when are you allowed to pass and a signal at danger, under your own authority.
Yeah there was 26/28 there that day and I believe that was the only day they was doing it , so waiting game now, was clutching hoping too hear Friday lol, last time was 2 weeks, but now I now it was because I got the dear john email, so if I’ve not heard by Tuesday, I will start to think I’ve failed yet again.

They used to be on an average 4.25 day week, but I believe it's an average 4 day week now.
I saw the Sheffield roster when it was the average 4.25 days. It was a pattern of between four and six working days followed by between three and six rest days. This way of doing things meant it was an 'average' and there was not the same number of rest days each week, but it did give all time off as consecutive days.
Shifts between 5 and 10 hours long.

It's an average 4 day week now, it changed last year.
"shifts between 5 and 10 hours long" go with nearer 10 than 5 :D, the shift pattern is pretty much as stated and the same at all depots.

Well I’ve been offered a Driver position at Manchester Piccadilly, to say I’m over the moon is a understatement, is there any current our trainee drivers at Manchester who could PM me regarding info etc thanks.

I’m not sure bud, but my guess is that they probably won’t be in touch until after Christmas now, I get the impression they’re still working out exactly what numbers they actually need at each depot

I'm only referring to the Glasgow depot and I understand the Freighliner drivers currently covering the work have been told it's been put on hold, so that's likely the case.

You have possibly misinterpreted, a lot of Drivers from Scotrail have been offered the job in the last few weeks after the second assessment day in Preston.
FL drivers were hopeful of an early dart to start with TPE but FL not releasing them early which is their right..

Thanks for the update. Yes, I'm only hearing things third-hand so probably mixed up. My application is still live so I must be last pick or knockback after they get the numbers.

Is there else who applied for this (back in April last year) and attended the interviews in August or November and hasn’t had either a knockback or job offer?

All I can get from Firstgroup Resources is ‘we are a awaiting an update from the Manager’

Perhaps there is more in the pipeline...

Anyone else still in the Talent Pool for Glasgow (6+ months)? And now there’s a new talent pool opening.

With the current state of first operations I would be concerned if I was a driver moving from scotrail to tpe
