Does anyone know the status of Excelsior sleepers on domestic Italian services?

I have seen one source that says they run on the Rome - Sicily route and another that says they were scrapped a few years ago. If they do still exist, do they run on any other routes?

Seat61 reports that they’re only available between Rome and Sicily, but are increasingly rare.

If the booking system offers singolo or doppio excelsior, this means a single-berth or 2-berth deluxe sleeper with shower & toilet en suite. There are only a handful of such compartments on each train, but if you can get one, they're highly recommended.
